Two weeks into the holiday season and my boss has yet to approve my request for an extended vacation leave. I plan to be home with my family who are miles away from where I work but until I get my boss’ thumbs up, I am unable to finalize my plans. For now, my assumption is that he would swamp me with work, and thus, won’t allow me to go on vacation. But a part of me still believes he’ll stop being a Scrooge at some point and will later on just decide to let me go. It would be great if that happens, but my only worry is that he might notify me too late for me to reserve a flight. Those commercial flights are always full on holidays. If not, they would charge unbelievably high air fares for last minute bookings. My colleague knew of my dilemma and advised me to consider taking a Private jet charter. I checked out their website and found out that they can service a flight for me for as short a notice as three hours. Add to that, I get to choose the type of Jet charter to get. Good thing there’s Private jets, I can still spend the holidays with my family even if my boss approved my leave at the last minute.
